While exploring the sandy expanses of the Glittering Dunes, you will encounter various cobra variants waiting for a meal. Many players mistakenly attempt to feed them local bugs or desert plants with very little success. The absolute favorite food item for all cobra variants is a simple egg, which can be easily purchased from Remy's Restaurant.
If you run out of eggs while exploring the wilderness, cobras will also accept alternative snacks like scorpions or sandworms. However, offering their favorite item yields the highest rewards and speeds up the taming process significantly. Keeping a steady supply of eggs in your inventory ensures you are always prepared when a snake appears.
Mastering the Red Light Green Light Approach
Approaching a cobra is vastly different from befriending the chill capybaras that wander around the island. Cobras are exceptionally skittish creatures that require you to play a careful game of patience before any interaction. Walking directly toward them will cause the snake to hiss and bolt away into the sand immediately.
To successfully get close, you must closely observe the position of the cobra's head as you walk forward.
