Pokemon Scarlet introduces several unique evolution methods that challenge traditional leveling systems. Among the most notable additions is Kingambit, a powerful Dark and Steel-type Pokemon that serves as the final evolution of the Pawniard line. Securing this formidable monster requires players to navigate a specific sequence of wild encounters and unique battle conditions.
Finding the Right Leader Bisharp
To begin the process of obtaining Kingambit, trainers must locate a specific type of Bisharp in the wild. You need to head to the bamboo forests located within North Province Area Two. Search specifically for a Bisharp that is physically surrounded by a small squad of Pawniard.
This particular spawn configuration guarantees that the leading Bisharp is holding a rare item called the Leader Crest. You can either catch this leading monster directly or use the move Thief to steal the necessary item. Earning this object is the crucial first phase of the evolution checklist.
Challenging Rival Warlords
Once you possess a Bisharp of your own, you must equip it with the newly acquired Leader Crest item. With your monster holding the object, you must seek out other wild Bisharp leaders in the same bamboo forest. Your goal is to defeat three of these rival leaders in standard battles.
It is incredibly important to note that automated Let's Go battles will not fulfill this evolution requirement. You must manually engage each target and secure the knockout inside a traditional battle screen. Teaching your monster a Fighting-type move like Low Kick will make these mirror matches much easier.
Triggering the Final Evolution
After successfully defeating three separate armed leaders, the final phase of the process is straightforward. You simply need to raise your victorious Bisharp by a single level. This can be achieved organically through battle experience or instantly by using a Rare Candy.
Upon reaching its next level, the evolution sequence will immediately trigger and reward you with Kingambit. This new powerhouse gains access to its signature move, Kowtow Cleave, right after evolving. Your team will now sport one of the most resilient physical attackers available in the Paldea region.
